Good intentions count little, Especially the humorous kind For in my witty banter, You mistook my rhyme; You cut me down to size, Ridiculed our friendship--- Broke the smile that was mine And walked away triumphant, While I remained silent---- Left far behind.

Misconceptions and misinterpretations can hurt when in actual truth no one was meant to be. You have captured the misery of being misunderstood very well in this poem. Well wirtten. |
