It's Just Me Again

It's just me again
I don't know what to say,
I just know I need to talk,
I can't keep living this way.
There's way to much fear
Tucked away deep inside,
Way to much hurt that just lives
And breathes 'til all hope dies.
I really wish that I could just find
Just one single friend
That could help me through everything
Until the end.

It's just me again
I met this guy today,
He's so manly, but so gentle,
And he really listens to what I have to say.
He made me feel so special
With just a few words,
You don't have to tell ME,
I know it sounds absurd!
I gave him my number,
And he said he'd call,
Maybe he will
He seemed so sincere and all.

It's just me again,
You know that guy I talked about?
Well, he's gone and turned my whole life
Inside-out.
He said I should be treated
With a lot more respect,
He kicked that loser out of my life
And said he aimed to protect.
I've never in my whole life
Felt so good...
If only I understood...
If I could...

It's just me again,
My knight is moving away,
He called and said that the school
Offered him a full scholarship today.
Oh my soul felt as if it
Was going to break,
The pain was so deep down inside
That my entire body ached.
What am I going to do without him
Here by my side...
I think I'll get back to you...
I think I'm going to cry.

It's just me again
I had to think about some things.
It took me some time to realize
The satisfaction this pain brings.
It means that I'm finally free,
Finally free of the chains,
He freed me from the bruises,
I'm finally free to change lanes,
I'm grateful to my knight
He showed me oh so much,
Besides he did tell me the other day
True friends stay in touch!

I certainly have and do have conversations with myself...and long ones too! This is an original poem that many will relate to I'm sure. I'm glad your friend came into your life at such a critical time.
Chrissie xx
