beleaguered by deceit, lingering acridity, rancor born of places that i cannot name. myself, tired, manifesting excuses, alibis. feign pardon for promise. a cunning fraudulence, circadian in cycle, taxing with time. i confess, dearest, i am daunted. too labored to look, hardened to hear.
