Please forgive tomorrow
I hate to disappoint you, but
I'm the one who gets to say goodbye
Please forgive tomorrow
I'll repair my wings with time
but for now, I'm a Broken Butterfly
Each new raindrop is
a new memory,
a new misery,
another broken dream, and
Each new tear drop's a
forgotten melody,
a new price to pay
look, you broke my wings
I'm sick and tired of hearing
"It's too late for sorry"
At least I tried
And don't tell me that it's all my fault
If you hadn't said hello,
I wouldn't have to say goodbye
Each new blood drop is
a new scar to hide
a bit more time to bide,
a scream locked up inside, and
Each new pin drop's just
one more thing to step on,
one more heart to walk on
look, you broke my wings
Pinned down
Broken
Purple, black
words and stab wounds
in my back
Rain and tears
and blood and pins
stir it all into our sins
horrid thoughts inside my head
thoughts of wishing I were dead
tears behind my eyelids hide
feelings all locked up inside
I was only trying to fly,
and now I'm a Broken Butterfly
Each new rain drop's just
one more remedy, it's
one more tragedy, it's
lack of sanctuary
Each new teardrop is
another pair of lifeless eyes
that stop to see
the Broken Butterflies
Please forgive tomorrow

| With that level of pain no wonder you don't want to remember but I am very glad you took pen to paper because this is beautifully written,some wonderfully expressive lines,'Look you broke my wings, and thankfully strong resolve at the end,'I'm the one who gets to say goodbye.' |

| so well written so well versed.. i have written something similar once before but not as par a butterfly. Its good to be able to write and express your pain it truely is the only way to cope when you are hurting deep down inside |
