Rotten Apples

I, an old apple tree, stand tall; Standing helplessly, watch as my offspring fall. Staring in fear, watch children run; Round and round they go, Plucking apples just for show; Devouring my children just for fun. Licking their tears like beasts; Snickering, What a delicious feast!. Roaring with a powerful laughter, Shamelessly consuming my daughter. Faster and faster they pick, Sharper and sharper they rip. One more baby to snatch. Pluck! One more corpse to bury. Chuck! I, silently yelling, Please dont! Please! Watch as they begin to leave. Evil laughter fades into the air, As I uselessly stand bare. Surrounded by a cemetery of rotten apples, I quietly cry for my babies.
