One Wish

I'm ridin' this highway road today
Tryin' to clear my head with the radio playin'
Don't know how long or how far I wanna go
But the one thing I know-

I want you here with me.

Look out the window to see the sun shinin' bright
In what seems to be a picture perfect moment sky.
The wind through the grass along the endless roads
Sings your name.

I tried avoiding you, but
Now I'm not fine.

If I had one wish right now,
It would be to see your face again.
We both made a few mistakes,
But I wwant to be by your side 'till the end.
That's only if I had one wish.

Hours pass, now it's nine o'clock at night.
No more sun, but what it left behind.
Pink and orange trails in the sky
Dotted with stars that spell your name.
There are barely any cars surrounding me
Which makes me all the more lonely
I still hear the night wind whisper
And sing your name

I tried avoiding you, but

If I had one wish right now,
It would be to see your face again.

One wish could get me through
This highway that's hit its dead end.
