Looking back
To the days when we were young
We loved our lives
We had so much fun
Time stood still
Or so it seemed
We would dream a million dreams
Looking back
Looking back
To that summer of '64
Life was so great
It kept us wanting more
We didn't care
What we did
We played like little kids
Looking back
Looking back
At all the things that we missed
Memories of when
We'd throw a coin and make a wish
We lived the day
We loved the night
Everything felt so right
Looking back
Looking back
Through those many years
When we got hurt
And cried a thousand tears
Sometimes we tried
To let go
Back then we didn't know
Looking back
Looking back
To our silent regret
About the times
We didn't meet the challenges set
We tried in vain
To give our best
Sometimes it was mess
Looking back
Looking back
To the days when we grew old
We've lived a life
And many stories we have told
We've touched the love
We've felt the pain
And we'd do it all again...
That's us looking back
