My eyes weary
And heavy with exhaustion
Yet my mind wonders as I look out the window
Remembering the times we had together
Many years ago
Yet it seems like only yesterday
A time when life was simple
And the choices were easy
When I fell
And you picked me back up
You were like a super hero...
Until that day
How I wish I had been there
For one last hug
Yet your memory lives on
In each of our hearts
You will always be missed
And never forgotten
With this poem
I am finally able to say goodbye
Till I see you again
On the other side
