Walking the warped wooden planks
Stretched over gaping hole of failure
Dont fall into my inky, sticky grime
Trust me, it never washes off
Acting out to hide the nothing
Bundle of mistakes that I am, I hide
Under my mask and name
Pretender in human clothes
Julia, rebel from the waist down
Dont love me, dont even try
Just call me beautiful
And Ill settle for your empty praise
Use you as much as you would me
To prop me up, to hide me away
Under a fold of deception, treachery
Not unlike the masses in the least
Except in what I have to hide
Burned brownies and childrens toys
Face ugly with tears and neglect
Total war of the soul, salt in the fields
Im a sinner in a cloak
A beauty made from hell
Nice to meet you, how can I break you
And use your shell to build up my walls
So no man can ever get back in?

| You should check out Romans chapter 7 in the bible its there that I find the best description of that internal fighting from within |

Very similar to my own story, just replace 'man' with 'woman'. Very raw and real. I especially empathized with this bit:
'Acting out to hide the nothing
Bundle of mistakes that I am, I hide
Under my mask and name
Pretender in human clothes'
Too true.
