Verve Mortis Till at once is heard, true loves knell A dispirited heart recedes to the earth Where from whence did all hope tell Fount of ones soul to suffer such dearth
Once verve its sepulcher, a corporal chest Coffers this heart, for an untimely grave Bereavement, nor rigor will cease its unrest To again be offered the love that we gave
Conjurations bequeath what thought not will To breathe again, adorations sweet air Blood temperate with adulations delightful fill What makes not to a love again do we swear
From death will come life and love known anew Lest one squanders a search for love left eschew
