Lonely

A lonely heart, Bleeding with sorrow, Covered in scrapes and cuts, Spiraling down a dark burrow,
Teardrops on my diary letters, Pillows drenched by these pearls of pain, Falling in spatters, In torrents like a rain.
People hear, but no comfort fills me, Loneliness is a choice I did not choose, My heart is open, but joy eludes me, Leaving me cold and bruised.
A fleeting pain that will pass, That is what I pray it to be, An emptiness that is bottomless and vast, Deep in the plumbs of my body
It will pass, The fact I have turned hard on the inside, It will pass, Once I say goodbye to my pride

I agree with Emy, a sad write, but a good rhyme to it, well done thank you for posting.

I'm disappointed to hear you're so down. What makes you feel this way?
Take care, Chris. |

I feel your pain
And although it came
It shall go
sooner than you know
And in its place
will there be joy in a while
and you my dear
once again shall smile.
You are never alone!
Thumbs up to you
for the courage to endure
lifes challenges
have you known for sure. |
