I don't plan to fall in love,
Why would I provoke such pain?
I've seen love die too many times,
And I won't be watching again,
Love is no longer what I desire,
I just want to feel a rush,
Fun, excitement and even lust,
Acting on a pointless crush,
I don't need someone by my side,
Someone to hold me back,
All they ever want from me,
Is the confidence that they lack,
And I have better things to do with my time,
I have a life to lead,
I won't destroy it with love,
With false happiness and greed,
I don't care about the names you'll brand me,
There are worse things I could do,
There's no point in hurting myself,
By believing in something untrue.

Yep, couldn't agree more. Love certainly with the younger generation doesn't seem to last so why put yourself through so much hurt and pain? Having said that, you don't want to die alone, do you?

| I think that lasting love is rare until people reach a certain age, and by then they have either found the perfect person (the lucky few) or they have finally decided they could settle with another person, even if they aren't perfect for them. Fear of being alone creates a lot of relationships lol Not looking for love is the best way to find it though... ironically. |
