Let me Sleep

So many years
Torn from my innocence
Blood stained tears

I will never be I will ever be
Knowing I will die a painful death
Please, please forgive me

My smile is silent and full of grief
These scars of lament will never heal
I am drowning in my sea of disbelief

Longing for my youth
When days were full of play
Blind from the truth

Days and nights kind
Death will make my life complete
Within my darkened mind

I am lost and lonely
Always longing for yesteryear
Solitude only

Let me sleep, entirely
Tear away from my bloodied face
As I find myself in misery

Let me sleep
