I'm in this dreamlike state
between awake, asleep
between sane, unclear
between livid, calm
I see my life as a shade of gray
just barely there, not dark enough
next to huge monumental things
My humble mark on the world
And you can say I've never done enough
Tell me I'm a useless girl
But we all wish sometimes that we weren't here
and I'm holding on.
