There's a delivery from heaven
a message sent by God
an angel delivered from the clouds
to this poor old sod
I examined the letter from under a lamp
it was addressed to me
and even had a stamp
your presence is requested at the earliest possible time
if you come to me now
I'll make you fly instead of climb
I know the good you have done
for the homeless and the poor
and sacrificed much of yourself
for this I offer my door -signed God.
hmm.....such an offer cannot be ignored
such an offer cannot be refused
if I say no I wonder
would he be angry or confused??
well I'm sorry God if this will ruin your day
but I will not quietly slip away
so with an angel's feather
I'm sorry god,
I must return to sender -signed me.
