i was trying to forget the past
out shakin my what?!
And I met alotta people that night
but one was different from the rest
He came to me with politeness and respect
and the way he looked and talked to me
he had me feelin like a queen
he got my heart pumpin like I been drinkin caffiene
i took him with a grain of salt
wondering if this was part of his routine
he read me like a book from beginning to end
than he flipped back to page one and started over again
once we started talkin he gave me a scare
because he told me what he thought without a care
takin aback because for that I was unprepared
outspoken just like me and not afraid to share
He said,"I done alotta things
n some you might like and some you might not."
He said,"I took off my gold chains just to lettcha know
Imma grown ass man. Not a thug or a rapper."
He said,"Now that you know what I'm all about
I dont want nuthin except hopin we can work things out. "
He said,"I'd like for you to want me the way I want you.
N thats the way with an erruption of a force
that will open any unlocked doors."
So he broke down all my walls in no time
now my goal is to blow his mind.
it all started with,"Excuse me, Miss."
but I have been in love from the very first kiss.
Only God knows where it will end,
this love story just about to begin.
