YOU'RE STILL A MYSTERY TO ME

You're still a mystery to me
No photographs will make me see
Why your life should hurt you so
There is still so much I need to know

When we first met you didn't give your name
But you were kind and honest, all the same
There were some questions I couldn't ask before
But now I want to know so much more

Isn't it a shame
That we're so far apart?
All the help I cannot give you
Just keeps on breaking my heart
You say you're fine
But I know that it's a lie
There's so much of me that wants to know you
But a part of you that makes me cry

Sad, you know, you make me feel
Because all your emotions are so real

I know one day it will be the end
I hope it's not that soon for you, my friend
No matter how hard I try and pray
God will take you away someday

You're still a mystery to me
That's how it will remain to be
I want you to know how much I care
And that I'll always be there...
