There are a lot of people in this old world, And we all have our desires and dreams,
But some times life can so cruel, Unfair and mean.
But there's a place were I can go to, When this old life is too much to bear.
I just take my burdens to Jesus, And I just leave them there.
Jesus is my rock, Jesus is my shield, Jesus is my fortress, my Jesus is real.
In this old world we live in, Filled with pain and despair,
It looks like there's no place to run to, It seems like no one cares.
But Jesus said trust in God, And also trust in thee.
Because I have gone to prepare a place for you, And where Im at you shall also be.
Jesus is my rock Jesus is my shield, Jesus is my fortress, my Jesus is real.

Although not religious myself, I found myself drawn deeper into the overall content by your fine writing. Well done. |
