Paralyzing Questions

I've no more words to say And nothing left today But this jarring voiceless cry: Tell me, dear love, why do you lie? Why not forgive? Why not set me free? Could it all be a clever ploy--a fear of losing me? No more false hope; no more lonely dreams. It appears this life is as dismal as it seems. How can I get through? Is this how to atone? To go into my future, blindly and alone? This fear is paralyzing, and I don't know what to do. To leave means losing everything: losing them, losing you. But to stay, oh to stay would be a battle I cannot win, For I cannot take the toll for the others' sins.

Down and out and searching for answers. You can feel the fragility in your words leaving plenty of emotion to be felt. Well done.
