So many words I've left unspoken
when I could never seem to face my pain.
And though I know you deserved better
the problem was that I am not.
Still in the same place no matter
how much further I seem to fall from grace.
What I can not seem to say is that
I have ever believed in my own self.
When I can still taste your pain
even when I can not see back to your face.
The little things could never save me
even as I bled them out on paper.
Broken, battered, and confused
it seems so common for me.
I still can not stand
where I have left me.
And this ground is my fault
as I placed all I know here.
