I met you and I fell deeply,
My love for you has not changed over the long lonely years
There have been others in my life but they have never taken your place
The tears have fallen and pooled at my feet and in them I see your face
I know you care, you told me so,
but it wasn't enough to not let me go
We are thousands of miles apart but you will always be in my heart
