In what heart does love desire the injustice of its own end, or yearn for the relief of its own absence?
Let the tremors of my heart remain, though in pain and compelled to surrender, though growing ever fainter, as the shadow of my face remains, though discarded, though growing gaunt in the brightness of the morning sun.
The valley of your breasts still dances at the proclamation of my love, though the fountains of your heart diminish, consumed by time. What deceit is this that my love cannot touch you, when even with my kiss, time unveils its want for you, for the flavor of your lips broken with age.
Go then, and quaver no more at the lips of this awkward prosesuffer no more, this interminable fearthe ancient eyes of night surround you.
Go, let only the vestige of my heart tell of your inculpable sorrow, how unsettling your eyes as they boar witness the heart of time and his desirehow unsettling that desire, its anger buried deepthe certainties of tongues entwined in hatred and deceit.
We all must face the consequences of our own hearts, the inquisition of our own souls.

A wonderful piece giving clues of what our hearts go through and the process of dealing with what we choose to take in. A flow of wit and images that jump off the page. This is great.

Yeah, no doubt in my mind that very last line sums it all up. Profound to some extent yet still pondering and questioning the why we love who can't love us. Least that's what it seemed to me. Very nicely done!

whether an unrequited love or a simple injustice of the heart, the images and emotins are greatly provoked and conveyed in this poem. It was facinating. |
