How on Earth could it be
That you're as blind as a bat
I only talk to you
Because I love you like that
I love the way that your eyes
Blink twice when you're nervous
And the way that you laugh
With a thousand excuses
I love your hair made of gold
It could buy me the world
I don't want it, don't need it
Just wish you were my girl
I love the way you sigh
When the times are so sad
And the way you always cry
When the times are so bad
Love your smile, and your voice
The way you talk to me
My heart is beating faster
And I wish you could see
See the pain that I feel
When you're walking next to me
When we're talking in the halls
when you sit next to me
I guess that I love you
More than any other girl
We don't even go out yet
And yet you're now my world
I would love and protect you
There's no doubt about that
I'll hug you and I'll hold you
Cause I love you that way
This isn't just a poem
Or a game of wordplay
It's the truth from my heart
It's what I wanted to say
As you're reading my words
You wonder who it's for
It's for the first one who reads this
It's you I adore
And right now you may hate me
But just think about it
Would you like to go out
Or not, but we can try it
But if not, it's okay
I understand completely
But at least we'll be friends
Or you'll be my one and only

I love this poem, so beautifully written. I am in a very similar situation and can really relate. I really hope everything works out as you wish and you two end up very happy together :)
