A constant sense of unease, A wave of disquiet, I try to sleep, I didn't even ask for this, Just give me the strength to end this please.
Medication coiled about my person, A once cure for pain now my burden, To many addictions I have Conquered, All my life adrift I wandered, To find the sense and my purpose, To fill my soul and end this circus, I find in part my need is sated, But I need more of what you created, And I know this surely with conviction, That you have become my latest addiction.

I like this, it's to the point but still maintains a sense of ambiguity and mystery.
Thanks for the read,

Walking the fine line of addiction and what's the necessary amount. You really summed up the feeling of knowing you're hooked and what the right thing to do is but also showing that it's never that easy. It's great to read your work and you have another fine piece here. Well done.

I really like this write and I can relate very well
to this. Its dark and the best part is the joy in
conveys at the same time. Whether a good or
bad addiction many of us just love the feeling of
being addicted and lost to something whether
we get hurt in the end or not. Thanks for your
comments on my work and I’ll try and read yours
just been busy and lost to me my mind and the
bottle. Steve |
