To my new friend

I am usually not especially creative and poetry is normally not my thing, but someone I have recently started to get to know is having a massive influence over me. I thought I would try my hand at some creative writing, hope its not too sucky or corny. I know its not especially long either ;;

While wandering in a land far away, a ray of light has come shining my way.
Such similarities feel uncanny, have we met in a pub, were you a friend of Sally
Her music recommendations I can never pass by
Each one brings a smile, or a twinkle to my eye
So glad am I our paths have crossed, for a long time i'm sure i'll hold her in my thoughts.
The future now an exciting place, with my new friend Sylv, my in game mate

Although you are so far away, I feel you getting closer everyday.
Thank you for Mew they are so full of Win, Lady Ga Ga you belong in the bin
She knows of Oldboy and Vistor Q
I wouldn't watch that film if I were you!
Grew up in HK, the land of Kung Fu
A movie buff and music guru

Now back to work I must return
As yet more servers start to fall down
But I hope that when I get back late
I will see my friend by Limsa Lomisa gate

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
