It be given away by her giddiness
But its not
Surprise!!!!!
I can hardly breathe
My heart is beating too fast to function
Instantly I grin and giggle out loud
Lined up and smiling in clean white togas
Are all of my very best friends
I beam at them
And they beam back
My heart is swelling up
I scan the backyard that,
Like a few times before,
Has been transformed
Into a summer wonderland
Gold glitter everywhere
Lights in the trees and on the fence
I hug every person in sight
But I cant calm down
At the end of the night
My body is sluggish from too many sweets
But my mind is awake for hours of talking
And thinking of how much I love my friends
