coming close to losing the fight for my life
my fears have overcome my body
I look for relief in containment
locked in my cage, their are no fears to hurt me
i give my life away for a little peace of silence
nothing but time to think
paying for the loss of my ignorance
I work to erase the memories i keep
slowly rebuild the walls around my soul
hoping my hardened heart will keep me safe
when i leave my cage for one more day
and stay alive for one more night
