They say it gets better,
That the pain goes away,
What would they know,
They dont live it day by day,

Its not in their dreams,
Or when they're awake,
They don't know what they're talking about,
I know its too late.

I'm sorry I hurt you,
I'm sorry I made you cry,
But this is the only way out,
I just want to die.

I've felt that way many of times. When i felt that death would be my only escape. This past weekend I slit my wrist and if it wasn't for Mark (my husband in the poem) I would have died. For the first time in 4 years I prayed for God to forgive me for taking my life and my childs to damn me and not my child. An unsuccesul attempt of death. There maybe other times but then again maybe Mark will love me and the family enough that i won't need death for an escape.
