I am picking up the pieces inside of me, That were shattered when it happened, No one knew but you, My screams were silently aching from within, Yet you looked at me, Pretended that I was alright
I was tortured, It all went unspoken, Yet you could see the signs of hurt, That you chose to ignore, Everyone must have imagined I was complete, They weren't wrong, I was completely shattered,
Why didn't you say a word? Did you assume it wouldn't matter? Because I would not speak, Yet I stayed waiting for your hand, To lift me and carry me high,
I was waiting there just shattered, broken and alone.
