Death of me

Contributed by LovelChelsea on Thursday, 6th January 2011 @ 07:33:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

You pull my heart, each and every way.
Pulling me down to a personal hell, every day.

I scream and scream, but no one hears my cries.
In every waking moment, I just want to die.

It seems it's getting worse, I can't sleep anymore.
It's becoming so routine, becoming such a bore.

You seemed to excite me, made my heart skip a beat.
But now that you broke my heart, I have to admit defeat.

I let down my guard, trusted you with all I had.
I tried to be nice, why were you so mad.?.

I gave you everything I could, more than you deserve.
You changed my life, made me take such a curve.

Then you walk away, without a scratch I must add.
Leaving me with a broken heart, all alone, and sad.

Now this beautiful girl, with a broken smile.
Had really thought you'd make her life worthwhile.

She goes and lock's the door to her room.
You're lies make her cut, not wanting to stop soon..

If you would have just said, I don't love you anymore.
Instead of playing with her heart, and making her sore..

She would have forgiven you, although it would hurt.
She would have let you go, let you be with her..

Because in her heart she knew all along.
Another girl's heart, you strung along.

She didn't wish to be played like that.
So she turned around, and never went back.

You'd never forgive, this much she knew.
You'd make her pay, she knew this too.

Although she feared you most of all.
You weren't aware, of what went wrong.

You hurt her horribly, but you didn't see.
How much drawing the line you're hitting can be.

And though she knew you'd get her back.
She stuck it out, and gave you a smack.

You pushed her back, and made her bleed.
Her friend's had seen this, they made you see.

"You can't do this to her ever again"
"Next time, we'll make sure you end up dead".

Her friend's had threatened him and boy he learned.
Never hit a girl, who has friends that don't squirm.

He never spoke to her again, to much of her surprise.
He never even said goodbye.

She took the time to write him a note.
Long story short, she said "go choke".

She hated his guts, why didn't she see?
She never loved him, he didn't love she...

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
