A thousand hours spent thinking
Only of you
Ever since the moment my eyes met you
Skipping the formalities
I knew I'd only see you
The beauty I see
William could not have imagined
My purpose remained undefined until that moment
We're all here to die
No matter how hard we try
Nothing matters
Nothing changes
Going on through life
Knowing what can't be
Losing my only dream
More and more every day
Blinding insanity drives me
Spending every night wondering
Why your eyes closed
Why they'll never open
Why all I have are memories
Why I can't ever feel you
Screaming come back to me
Only wishing for a quicker ending
Than what I'm facing now
The lights that burn my eyes
It'll be over soon
The fallen chair brings peace
The pain is fading
The lights are dimming
The warmth is leaving
Never to return
All while whispering..

Sounds to me like you just discovered a natural, raw talent on loan from God.
For this being your first attempt at writing poetry
is awesome.
