Its the smell of descending gold The silent wisper of the leaves that fall Warmth of the cooled breeze It momentarilly lingers And your heart skips a beat Causing everything else to freeze The birds still fly singing with glee As trees sway missing most of their leaves Whats left of them cling despratly Not for long since snow will soon come After that sun too melt it away Giving birth to new life In return of the life it had earlier taken away
