She stands in the rain
Weight of the world
Upon her shoulders
I stand beside her
And share my vision
Her troubles flowing down
Let them flow away
Find that smile
Our troubles are too small
To dwell in this pain
Forgetting the beauty around us
The rain shall soak your heart
With purity
And reminders of the days
Of playing among daisies
Laughing all the way
Running to the rain
Dancing in the puddles
Never drowning in troubles

This is beautiful.(Dancing in the puddles never drowning in troubles) ahhhhhh well done. It rained a bit in the desert today I'm going to find me a puddle!! Thanks for sharing this

wow im glad i came back kara... ive been in a bit of a slum and stopped readin poetry but this one poem just brought me back... the last few lines sums up everything truly work written with the best hand

Funny, I said that and chanced upon this poem again tonight and thought about a line in a poem I wrote in & posted on May 13, 2012.
And I loved dancing with you...
In the rain.
That poem was written about my former wife. But here I was, back in February asking you for a dance in the rain. Hey, if it means anything, I will not dance with just anybody in the rain. :p |
