everytime i see you
i think of everything
everything that happened
everything that could've happened
everything that might happen
i hope for the best
but i expect the worst
i love you
with every ounce of my soul
but you don't love me back
it's the story of the century
as common as air
but there is one difference
i think you're lying
i know you're lying
but why
why are you doing this to me
you're putting me through hell
and i don't even know why
i see you smile
i see you laugh
i see you look at me
different from anyone else
your smile a little brighter
when in my direction
your laugh a little happier
when with me
you eyes wander
when i'm by you
it's the story of the century
as common as air
but there is one difference
i think you're lying
i know you're lying
but why
why are you doing this to me
you're putting me through hell
and i don't even know why
why are you making this so hard
why can't you tell me the truth
just tell me
i don't want to wonder anymore
i want the truth
i want i now
but i'll never get it
not from you
it's the story of the century
as common as air
but there is one difference
i think you're lying

will i ever know why
