LostLove

If I could wrap my heart into a box, I'd send it straight to you. It's cause you stole it like a fox, And I had not a clue.
It seems that I can't do things right, Ever since you left. And now i'm just a pitiful sight, A victim of your theft.
It seems that I can't use this thing, Although it always beats. Its lacking of the joy you bring, You make me feel complete.
I've wished upon a thousand stars, That fate would bring you back. It seems your love has left a scar, And time won't heal the crack.
It's too bad that i was so cold, But I am just a man. But at first sight my heart was sold, Now do you understand?
I felt defenseless and so weak, Because I let you in. A feeling that was so unique, Like abiding by a sin.
I didn't know myself that well, To give all I got. And now my mind is in this hell, Thank god my soul is not.
The simple things; you loved the most, You're affection had no price. You loved it when i held you close, And said your hair smelt nice.
I'd run my fingers gently, Through your long straight hair. You'd look at me intently, Like no other could compare.
You own my heart no matter what, Even when it's hard like rocks. I'd wrap it with a bow for you, And send it in a box.
