A Painful Loving Memory

Contributed by deusdeira on Tuesday, 25th January 2011 @ 02:52:19 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Breaking through the sadness,
Trying to find the peace,
Collapsing all the pain,
These walls... I built.... with grief,

Sitting in an empty room,
Is less hard than it was before,
Like watching fading memories,
From a lonely and distant shore,

Broken glass reflects the light,
But it is broken none the same,
Tears they haunted all my nights,
The self loathing and the shame,

But tears will dry, and hearts will mend,
My first my love my past,
Remember me for what I was
I always meant our love to last,

Lovea wave upon the shore,
And swallowed by the sea,
Think of me my love one day,
And why you set me free,

Feel the sun caress you skin,
And dream of what we had,
A simple thing, yet so complex,
So wonderful, and yet so sad,

The truth my dear will always
Be buried deep inside,
We were never meant to be,
A fact I cannot hide,

Your love it blossomed like a rose,
And then you strayed away,
You said your love would never die,
And trusting you... I stayed,

A painful loving memory,
Is what you will always be,
I have freedom from your loving lies,
I am finally set free.

Hello, Your poem is awesome! I mean it. I like the format, the wording of it and how it goes together. When i read it, i can actually find the setting in my mind and create a picture from the words you wrote. Excellant job, keep it up.
