This burning in my eyes, Are the tears I have to hide, My kids can't see me like that again, 'cause on my stability they depend, But once in every moon, A psycho fracture, chemical bloom, It grips my soul, Consumes me whole, Worries me, Sullies me, And denigrates my being.

I think a lot of people feel extremely sad, at least once a month. And very rarely do they ever tell anyone about it. Hiding sadness is definitely something we are taught to do. |

Always staying strong is a mother's want so that she is a rock for her children, but we are human and Nature gives us a way of releasing all our pent up tiredness and frustration, which because we hide it for so long seems almost totally consuming when we do release the tears. The great thing about your writing is that other mothers will realise they are not the only one to need to release their emotion and through your openness and frankness the communication will give them the ok to do so. |
