One day I was walking along a sea shore On which played the waters, so sprightly they were And as they splashed, they sang a song It was a lovely, enchanting song Gratifying my heart, my mind, my soul They sang for me, for themselves, for all
Then to me, reached a fragrance So profound it was, that it made me follow And led me to another sea A sea of flowers, a sea of colour
Green, orange, purple they were And of all the colors I could think of They signified the beauty of life Standing among them, I could not help but smile
Out of the blue, above the field; Lightning flashed and thunder rung It could be heard loud and clear It heralded the arrival of rain Which washed away my sins And swept away my fears
The rain did stop but reminded me of How wonderful the nature is
But just as I was returning through the woods Came on the wind distant sound It was the malicious cutting of trees The trees could not wail The trees could not cry
But deep inside my heart I could hear Their cries for help, their fear for death It made me think for a moment in sorrow-
The Eden that I saw today Would it be there for me tomorrow?

nature is a beautiful thing, and you captured it very well. One of humanities biggest problems is that in order to survive, we must destroy things, and often those things are beautiful. |

Welcome to YPDC.
Sounds like you just discovered raw, natural talent of writing poetry.
That's how I do it. It's talent on loan from God. I give him the glory, I'm just the willing vessel that picks up the pen to capture it.
good writing and again, welcome.
Blessings,
emy

Continue, continue, continue writing! You are a diamond in the rough! And nature is your playground. |
