My old friend despair.

I don't care for this, Despair which is, Stalking me so near, His disdain for me, Is painfully, Oh so very clear, I'm bound to his purpose, A clown in his circus, A slave, to his fear, His shrouded discourse, My clouded retort, My mind's completely blear, He chases my screams, Defaces my dreams, Oh no he's already here, So I shake hands my friend, Take umbrage again, Embrace you, With undue cheer.

Ah how I wish I could not be friends with despair. Great poem and great topic. Highly relatable |

A very sad subject in many ways but your words allow the reader inside your thoughts without to much doom and gloom. This is very fine poetry indeed, another gem. |
