Progressive Suicide

Contributed by Hynth on Saturday, 12th February 2011 @ 07:51:35 AM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Alone once more, stationery and lost in a corner of dis-illusion,
Mind a'wandering, logic removed from all reason.
Temptation overcame, broke it did the field of view,
Unable to follow a positive goal, but a goal with a means to an end is all that transpires.
The depths of the soul scream for redemption, a redemption fit for vengenance,
No response followed, failed without starting,
More screaming was needed but no time was left.

The walk was long, the end was coming into view,
A void was in the making, a void in which could never be filled.
Strange it was, grey without life but a tortured remedy,
Forced into servitude a choice made only by life itself.
"End", hello dear friend how are you doing today?
Hands grasped tightly onto the key of oblivion.

With hesitance, a loop was conjured,
A loop of destiny or destruction, either was a bonus.
Slipped comfortably it did, provided a sense of safety,
Its scratchy type material, sang songs deep into the neck.
No remorse, the soul was begging for the journey,
"Make the leap of faith" It continued to beg,
The leap was but a mere step, but the fall was eternal.
No sudden stop, but a swing in such a way,
Something not planned for, the key did not fit.

The blood, trapped with nowhere to go,
Swirled around a strangled head, a very real problem but still not dead.
Pressure, a violent lifting feeling like a balloon being squeezed,
Eyes began to pulsate, ravaged with inner fire.
Air had become water, choked and fully plugged,
But destiny did not come, it was not the time.
Hands followed suit, clasped tightly around the key,
Manouvered gently, no more was there a choke.

Sitting alone, in a corner of self pity,
Failed at failing, headache pursued.
