Big Ben came. It was our doom
it rendered barren, natures womb
Elst labelled it, he was inspired
like billiards, it's course was fired
it left it's belt of brothers clear
passing Mars, gravity steered
it seemed as though we got off clean
serene in daylight, could be seen
from golden coast observatories
religious types sank to their knees
the earth shook open old tired sores
borders closed, alongside doors
it passed on by, but not quite through
lunars? well. We soon had two
they passed in orbit, countering
until the mighty bell did ring
those dreadful doomed enormous rocks
did crash and fused, a mighty shock
the beauty lit, both night and day
star splintered showers came our way
explosive rocks, they fell to earth
a prophecy, it was our curse
the scientists tried to predict
the molten mass so gloopy thick
its halo scorched from north to south
all of us hid with open mouths
Gravity. It did the rest
a mighty dawn rose from the west
the pallet changed, wrath coloured scene
the end of days for blues and greens

I don't quite understand it, but it looks good.

I like this. It seems to be full of a depth of meaning which is contained by its complexities and which challenges the reader to interpret.
Very nice,
Mickey.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
