failed opportunity

selfstruggles

Gone are the days of self fulfillment. A broken alcoholic is all that remains. Scotch and sex cannot dull these internal pains. An athlete so full of promise, now aimlessly resides in the doldrums of life. The wind is gone so now I must paddle, to the far away islands of my goals and aspirations.

I remember my youthful days
I tried for skipping World-record
I reached 25000 jumps non-stop
Taking three hours fifteen minutes
I was ill-advised by my Uncle
When I was excelling in running
He diverted my determined mind
He gave the worst advice to me
The record stood at 32082
But, my life totally changed
I could do nothing useful
Even now I think boldly
My mind is full of optimism
At age 52 I am robust
I lost in almost everything
Still I courageously pursue
Dear friend, please be jolly
This body and mind are holy
Let us not squander life
Hope you will take my words.
With best wishes, Thanking you, Yours truly,
