About being patriotic anymore?
Oh, thats nonsense
Such feelings are best to ignore
Why dump honesty
And land your country in a mess?
See, money's power
Big money is the greatest success
Arent you ashamed
Your nations going through the worst?
Oh, leave that aside
My advantage always comes first
That is treachery
Abandoning your country in difficulty!
We never claimed
To owe the country loyalty

'The Secret Confession' is a poem about a major problem in our country -- and in most of the world itself. The modern focus on individual wealth, the rampant sickness of greed, the lack of care between sectors of society -- these serve only as destructive influences which, I imagine, will eventually cause the crumbling of our days. The poem says it all -- clearly -- decisively -- and with power. A protest
song -- in its own right.
