If friends in life were flowers A rose you could not be No common daffodil Or buttercup I can see.
As I gaze upon my garden Amongst the crowd you stand Unable to be seen Or heard not a sound.
And though I can not see And the others shout together Your little voice I search for A true friend for now an ever.
An when my search is over And in my way you be The rare flower I wanted Someone true to me.
An as we walk together And all the world can see Too truer friends in life Never there could be.
