Sometimes I wish
I could wish it all away
All this pain
All this suffering
All this tragedy
But I can't
It's too big
To just dissappear
Sometimes I wish
That we could just talk
Like normal people
Like friends
Like nothing happened
But we can't
Because what happened
Can't be forgotten
Sometimes I wish
That you loved me
Like I love you
Like I'm your one and only
Like you couldn't live without me
But I know you don't
And you never will
Because I'm just another broken-hearted girl

| Why is it that when all is said and done, when the day comes to an end, when we've spent the time of day laughing, flirting, and being at the very most generalized sense "happy", we come home only to despair in seclusion you and I? I swill stop reading your poems for tonight. I've lamented and regretted enough for the past 48 hours. Not complaining mind you, and I thank you for the assistance in my train of thought. |
