Why is it
Any time I try
You shoot me down, right from the sky?
I just open up my mind a crack
You peer in, then slam the door
Yet you talk of love
And growing old
And how I am the only one for you to hold
Well I get it, my soul's a mess
And a bit intense
So you wonder why I close it off?
You refuse to wander through
These doors aren't locked, honey
Unlike yours; shut and sealed
Why is it you declare your love
But lock me out and slam my doors?
My heart pounds for you
Then you do this to me
And you wonder why I feel so alone
So empty and so cold

Great writing.
I'm sure you'll figure it out. I've been the same road too many times. From experience if they can't love you for who you are you don't need um.

| There is a fine line between helping the person you love, and trying to change them. Some people over step that line, and it sucks. I hate to say it, but it will probably never stop. Overly critical people are always going to be that way. |
