Conviction
and when the world has turned
cold upon its steel
buried all our dreams
and scorched whatevers real
in hindsight looking back
as dark consumes the light
they plot out another thesis
to make it seem alright
they seek to find the answers
destroy the clueless guess
break what seems irrelevant
to create a bloodstained mess
satisfied with nothing
drawing out its sword
they break us all into pieces
since peace would leave them bored
