We were thrust into this crazy place And thus the start of our decline We wouldnt learn until years later Such are the limits of the mind
But of course everyone goes crazy At least Im sure thats what we are Becoming whores to wealth and worry As we gaze upon the stars
We seek to be misguided To false perceptions we are keen For when reality evades us We are happy in our dreams
And were happy with our lovers But in marriage not the same Why do we hurt so many people? Why do we put ourselves to shame?
Oh, but we bear the pain so well And pledge ourselves in fine devotion So, I guess theres not all that much to tell Would we even take the time to listen?
