Taking the Wheel

Contributed by CherryReadPoet on Sunday, 6th March 2011 @ 10:16:33 PM in AEST
Topic: SecretLove

I am silent.
I am still.
Crazy, am I?
Crazy that I hold to my will?
Do I speak in rhymes?
A rhythm, or meter?
If I play your games,
Does that make me a cheater?
No.
Not on my watch.
I am who I am,
You can't make me stop.
Yes, this is everlasting,
Your hold on me is forever,
If they ask me to give it up,
My answer will be never.
True, I know my luck
Isn't quite the same
As it once was when,
It wasn't so strange to say your name.
Why did I obtain these feelings,
After the depart,
And the change that overcame me,
In the bottom of my heart?
I don't understand and I'm confused,
On the way of how I feel,
From now on I'll call the shots,
I'm taking over the wheel.
