Never before did the thought cross your mind
From all gathered information of her past
What could possibly have brought her
To doing what she did
You look back to the past
Trying to find what made her choose that path
She never got in trouble
Never in detention
Never failed a test
Never missed a single class
Never passed a note
She was the perfect student
But then you remember
The other side of the facts
Every time you saw her
She was always by herself
The reason she stayed unnoticed
The reason she made herself seem flawless
Was so that no one would notice
Her many imperfections
Her bruises
And her scars
Her sweet innocent smile hid the fear
The fear of knowing
That once she opened the door to her home
The pain and misery would return
